Our Mission

Our mission is to assist small- and medium-sized manufacturers in Alabama in identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. We provide hands-on experience for future engineers through on-site energy assessments, enabling them to become leaders in sustainability. By driving both environmental and economic benefits, we aim to enhance the competitiveness of Alabama’s manufacturing sector while reducing its carbon footprint.

The Alabama IAC is one of 31 Industrial Assessment Centers nationwide. The IAC program is sponsored by the US Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office. Please see the National IAC Information Page and the Advanced Manufacturing Office for more information on our partners.
